Cyber security firm Symantec this week warned that the notorious ‘Anonymous’ hackers group is set to target regional oil firms around 20 June.
Symantec says Anonymous will also target the governments of key Gulf oil-producers Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar. The list of potential oil and gas company targets, which exceeds 55 firms, includes regional heavy-hitters such as Saudi Aramco, Kuwait Oil Company, Adnoc and Qatar Petroleum.
