Sudan’s state oil company Sudapet is looking to fast-track production on the newly-created Block 26 on the border with former civil war foe South Sudan.
Block 26 extends across White Nile, Sennar and North Kordofan provinces. It is effectively the northern segment of what used to be Block 7, before the South broke away. CNPC/Petronas-led Dar Petroleum produces all of South Sudan’s current 160,000 b/d output from Block 7 and neighboring Block 3. (CONTINUED - 280 WORDS)
