Cairo has agreed deals with seven companies to import a further 55 liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes between now and end-2016. Some 45 cargoes were originally sought via tender.
The winning firms are: traders Trafigura, Vitol and Noble Group; France’s EDF trading; Spanish natural gas utility Gas Natural, Chinese state firm Petrochina and Anglo-Dutch major Shell. Of these seven firms, Shell is the only one with significant LNG production. (CONTINUED - 411 WORDS)
