More than two years into his presidency and with sanctions on Iran set to be lifted, following the signing of July’s landmark nuclear deal with the international community, Iranian President Hassan Rohani says “a new chapter has begun in Iran’s relations with the world.” And with its undoubted economic and cultural potential, Iran “is well positioned to become a hub for export-oriented investment.”
In anticipation of the lifting of sanctions early next year, under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Mr Rohani this week said his country now hopes “to engage with our neighbors in a wide range of social and economic cooperation.” (CONTINUED - 1209 WORDS)
