Denmark’s Vestas is providing 40 wind turbines for installation in Morocco’s Khalladi wind farm, near Tangier. The 120MW wind farm is being developed by Saudi private firm Acwa Power in a 75:25 project joint venture with the Mauritius-registered Argan Infrastructure Fund.
Acwa says the wind farm is expected to cost a total MD1.7bn ($172.6mn). The company began construction work on the project in November 2015 and says that the farm will supply industrial clients connected to the local high voltage network. (CONTINUED - 280 WORDS)
