Gas began flowing from Israel to Egypt for the first time ever on 15 January. The historic deal is slated to see 85bcm of gas from the Leviathan and Tamar fields flow to Egypt over the next 15 years, an implied average of 550mn cfd.
This marks the second export deal to be executed from Leviathan following its 31 December start-up: gas immediately started to flow to Jordan’s state-run power firm Nepco (MEES, 3 January). (CONTINUED - 1253 WORDS)
