Kuwait’s state refiner KNPC announced on 25 November the start-up of a new 264,000 b/d crude distillation unit (CDU) at Mina Abdullah (MAB) refinery, although completion of work on upgrading units there as part of a clean fuels project (CFP) is expected to continue into 2021.
KNPC executive vice-president Wadha al-Khateeb told a press conference that the new CDU “represents the main gateway for the environmental fuels project in the refinery, which constitutes a major leap forward for the oil refining industry in the country.” (CONTINUED - 348 WORDS)
