Kuwait oil burn tumbled by nearly 100,000 b/d to a six-month low in October as cooler temperatures eased the pressure on the emirate’s power sector. At 118,000 b/d, October was the first month since June in which oil burn was down year-on-year.
Peak demand fell by more than 2GW month-on-month in October to 11.97GW (see chart 1). This was also significantly less than in October 2019, when demand peaked at 12.56GW, and was not much more than October 2018’s 11.83 GW.
