Rapidly rising electricity consumption within the GCC is a long-standing concern. A massive annual increase in Qatar’s annual power generation in 2019 further reinforces this.
Qatar’s power plants delivered a record 48.6TWh of electricity in 2019, up 23% on 2018 and 11% higher than the previous annual record of 43.9TWh in 2017.
