Abu Dhabi state utility Adpower and Japan’s Marubeni on 16 February signed a power purchase agreement to create a JV to develop the Fujairah F3 power plant under an IPP contract.
The 2.6GW CCGT plant will be the UAE’s largest gas-fired plant, supplying Adpower’s operating company Ewec, which currently receives electricity and water from mainly gas-fired plants with combined capacities of 18.08GW and 4.37mn m3/d water desalination. (CONTINUED - 287 WORDS)
