A consortium of Italian firm Eni and French major Total has confirmed that it will not be drilling offshore Cyprus this year, following in the footsteps of US major ExxonMobil, which in April announced it was postponing offshore Cyprus drilling until September next year (MEES, 17 April).
Eni and Total are partnered in seven of Cyprus’ eight active offshore blocks, and had planned to drill six wells over the next 24 months including three before the end of this year. (CONTINUED - 211 WORDS)
