Israeli independent renewables firm Enlight says it has secured the required IS1.25bn ($366mn) funding for a 189MW wind farm project in the Golan Heights. IS1.05bn will come from financial institutions led by local lender Bank Hapoalim.
The project’s 39 wind turbines will provide power to 60,000 households in norther Israel. Enlight is still awaiting approval from state electric firm IEC to begin construction which will take between 24-36 months to complete. US firm General Electric (GE) will supply the turbines and provide maintenance for 20 years. (CONTINUED - 144 WORDS)
