Austria’s OMV is optimistic that the severe operational problems affecting its refining operations in Abu Dhabi have been resolved. The firm acquired a 15% stake in Adnoc Refining last year (MEES, 1 February 2019), alongside Eni (20%) and Adnoc (65%).
Adnoc Refining has throughput capacity of 922,000 b/d from three refineries, the bulk of which is from the 837,000 b/d Ruwais industrial hub. Adnoc intends to expand its refining capacity to around 1.5mn b/d by 2025 through further development at Ruwais. (CONTINUED - 391 WORDS)
