*Turkey, as elsewhere, saw Covid-19 hit its crude demand in Q2. Imports fell to 510,000 b/d, the lowest quarterly figure since 2018 (see chart and table). The country’s import volumes leapt higher from early 2019 after the start-up of Izmir’s 200,000 b/d Star refinery at the end of 2018 (MEES, 4 October 2019).
