Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi held meetings with Libyan PM Albdulhamid Dbeibeh and NOC chairman Mustafa Sanalla in Tripoli this week to confirm his firm’s “full commitment regarding operational activities and projects in the country.” Of course, the usual suspects were mentioned such as the 760mn cfd offshore Structures A&E project and the Bouri Gas Utilization project– both are still awaiting FID (MEES, 31 July 2020). The two firms are also looking to maintain output at the 1.1bn cfd nameplate capacity Bahr Essalam field through the ‘Sabratha Compression’ project.
Eni and NOC also talked about developing “Hamada,” which possibly relates to NOC subsidiary Agoco’s plans to develop Blocks NC-5, NC-7 and NC-8 to produce some 200mn cfd of gas in the Ghadames Basin (MEES, 11 June), as well as 10,000 b/d “phase-1” oil output from Block NC-7. (CONTINUED - 279 WORDS)
