The Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JoPetrol) announced on 27 October that it had received bids from three consortiums for the long-stalled expansion of the country’s sole refinery at Zarqa just north of Amman from 70,000 b/d to 120,000 b/d.
JoPetrol says the three consortia are made up of “seven major Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, and English companies” and that the cost of the expansion work is “expected to exceed $2.6bn.” (CONTINUED - 332 WORDS)
