Five months after seizing power, Tunisian President Kais Saied on 13 December unveiled a long-awaited political roadmap including a referendum on a new constitution and parliamentary elections by the end of 2022.
The process is to start on 1 January with public consultations on political reforms set to inform a committee - chosen by the president - tasked with drafting a new constitution.
