Chevron-operated Sarta, the newest producing field in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), now has a gross output in excess of 10,000 b/d according to junior partner Genel Energy (30%; Chevron 50%op, KRG 20%). The field started up in November (MEES, 27 November 2020) though the Sarta-3 well and production in January was around 5,500 b/d (MEES, 22 January).
With Sarta-2 now online, Genel says it expects output “to increase from the existing two producing wells, as optimization of facilities configuration continues post production start-up.” (CONTINUED - 341 WORDS)
