Eni has since 2019 emerged from nowhere to become the dominant player in the UAE’s ‘Northern Emirates.’ After last year’s discovery and fast-track development of Sharjah’s Mahani field it is looking for ‘more Mahani’ across Sharjah and neighboring Ras Al Khaimah (RAK).
Italy’s Eni this week snapped up its second exploration block in RAK, taking a 90% stake in the onshore Block 7 alongside state-firm RAK Gas.
