Gazprom is seeking to boost its North Africa output over the next few years as part of a wider plan to “increase the scale of the oil and gas business outside Russia.”
Gazprom EP International, the Russian state-owned giant’s overseas upstream unit, produced 6bcm in 2020 from locations including Libya, Bolivia, the North Sea and Vietnam. But such volumes remain tiny in comparison to the massive 453bcm Gazprom produced in Russia. Another subsidiary, oil-focused Gazprom Neft, also has producing assets in Iraq. (CONTINUED - 797 WORDS)
