Qatar Petroleum (QP) announced on 19 June that it has won two offshore blocks in Suriname’s recent bid round, part of a consortium comprised of TotalEnergies (40%op), QP 20% and Suriname’s state oil company Staatsolie (40%).
The consortium was awarded production sharing contracts (PSC) for blocks 6 and 8. Both are adjacent to the southern portion of Suriname’s Block 58, where TotalEnergies (50%op) has announced four discoveries since the beginning of 2020. (CONTINUED - 972 WORDS)
