The Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC) and Aramco Gulf Operations Company (AGOC), which oversee operations in the shared Partitioned Neutral Zone (PNZ) have discussed increasing offshore production. Acting KGOC CEO Emad Sultan met with AGOC’s offshore chief Ali al-Ajmi, and discussed “optimal exploitation…of the Al-Khafji joint operations zone,” according to a KGOC statement on 5 August.
Production from the offshore Khafji field restarted in February 2020 (MEES, 28 February 2020), with volumes exported. Data intelligence firm Kpler figures show exports averaging around 115,000 b/d, which is approximately half the level from before its 2014-shut down. (CONTINUED - 176 WORDS)
