East Med-focused independent Energean saw output from its key Abu Qir field off Alexandria fall to a multi-year low of 153mn cfd for 1H 2021, down 10% on 2020’s 170mn cfd which in turn was down almost 50mn cfd on 2019’s 220mn cfd. Liquids output was 4,100 b/d for 1H 2021, down from 5,000 b/d for 2020.
Abu Qir’s 31,400 b/d of oil equivalent output is the firm’s only Egypt production and accounted for 71% of the firm’s overall 1H production alongside modest output from Italy, the UK, Greece and Croatia (see chart 1). (CONTINUED - 495 WORDS)
