BP and its partner, US independent Kosmos, on 11 October signed a production sharing contract (PSC) with the Mauritanian energy ministry for a group of fields dubbed BirAllah some 100km offshore the south of the country.
The PSC envisages 30 months of “engineering studies” during which a development plan will be finalized, “to be followed by a final investment decision in the first half of 2025.” A Kosmos spokesperson tells MEES that the firm is fully on board with this timeline. (CONTINUED - 872 WORDS)
