Algeria’s Sonatrach signed a three-year natural gas supply contract with Slovenia’s Geoplin on 15 November, with supplies set to begin in January 2023. Volumes will be sent through the 33bcm/y Trans-Mediterranean Pipeline which traverses Tunisia on its way to Italy from where gas enters the Slovenian network.
While no details on volumes were released, local Slovenian reports had previously mentioned a figure of 0.3bcm/y (290mn cfd) (MEES, 21 October). Algeria previously supplied Slovenia through the TransMed pipeline between 1992 and 2012. (CONTINUED - 121 WORDS)
