Israel’s gas output increased 5% quarter-on-quarter to a record 2.209bn cfd (5.76bcm) for Q3, with the key Chevron-operated 22.7tcf Leviathan field also posting a record quarterly high of 1.163bn cfd (3.03bcm).
But despite record output, and key export market Egypt looking to take as much gas as possible, exports fell 10% quarter-on quarter to 814mn cfd for Q3 as domestic gas demand soared to a record 1.390bn cfd, up 17% quarter on quarter and 3% on Q3 2021’s previous record of 1.344bn cfd (see chart 1).
