Egypt’s flagship Zohr gas field produced an annual record 28.3bcm (2.74bn cfd) for 2021, according to figures in Rosneft’s 2021 results, published 11 February. Rosneft has 30% of Zohr, Eni is operator with 50%, whilst BP and UAE state firm Mubadala have 10% each.
The 2021 figure is up 31% on 2020 when Egypt’s key gas fields saw output limited by government diktat for most of the year amid depressed domestic demand and rock-bottom international LNG prices (MEES, 10 April 2020). (CONTINUED - 202 WORDS)
