*The US government’s Energy Information Administration in its 8 February Short Term Energy Outlook revised up its estimate of US 2022 crude and field condensate production by 160,000 b/d to 11.96mn b/d. The 2021 number was revised up 40,000 b/d to 11.19mn b/d following the release of final November output figures at the end of January which came in some 200,000 b/d above the previous provisional estimate.
*As a result, the EIA now sees 2022 output up 770,000 b/d on 2021 compared to a previous estimate of 650,000 b/d. For calendar 2022 (December 2022 versus December 2021) the latest estimate is 570,000 b/d with output ending the year at 12.39mn b/d, still almost 600,000 b/d shy of the record output figure of 12.97mn b/d set in November 2019.
