*Thailand’s overall crude imports for Q1 edged over 1mn b/d for only the second time since 2020. Though only up 7,000 b/d from the previous quarter, volumes soared to 1.32mn b/d for March, the highest monthly figure since November 2018, with a month-on-month increase of 287,000 b/d (28%).
*The UAE remained Thailand’s top supplier with 392,300 b/d in Q1, a three-year high and double year-ago volumes. The first two months of the year started off with an average of 236,000 b/d before March imports saw a jump to a record high 704,700 b/d.
