Adnoc Refining (Adnoc 65%, Eni 20%, OMV 15%) is cleaning up its act. A large-scale Waste Heat Recovery project is due to come online before the end of the year, which upon completion will recycle waste heat to produce up to 230MW of electricity and 62,400 m³/d of distilled water.
The $600mn Waste Heat Recovery project is located at the General Utilities Plant in Abu Dhabi’s Ruwais industrial city. Adnoc announced on 14 September that “phase one of the project, which includes the operation of two new boilers and turbines, will be completed before the end of the year, while phase two, which includes a further two boilers, will be completed around the middle of 2023.” (CONTINUED - 429 WORDS)
