Kuwait’s 615,000 b/d Al Zour refinery ramp up has now essentially been completed says KPC CEO Sheikh Nawaf Al Sabah. “We will announce in the next few days its full commissioning, but it’s basically up and running from now and producing at that number [full capacity]. Once we are confident in its stability, we will announce that publicly,” he told the Energy Intelligence Forum in London on 19 October.

Refining capacity in the country now stands at 1.4mn b/d, with KPC targeting 1.6mn b/d by the end of the decade through debottlenecking of its existing facilities. “And that will move us to really selling quite a bit of products on the market,” Sheikh Nawaf says. (CONTINUED - 855 WORDS)
