Saudi Aramco is making renewed traction in supporting the kingdom’s strategy to displace oil burn from its power generation and water desalination sectors. The firm has now completed the 1.07bn cfd expansion of a key gas processing plant, and is finalizing work on compression plants which will boost gas feedstock.
The firm is also in the process of tendering for a massive expansion to its Master Gas System (MGS) to handle and distribute the increased gas volumes. The third MGS phase (MGS-III) is intended to increase capacity from 12.5bn cfd to 16.1bn cfd.
