Israeli gas output rose 15% quarter-on-quarter to a record 2.67bn cfd for Q3 as output from the country’s third gas field, 1.4tcf Karish continued its ramp-up following start-up in late October last year. Karish averaged a quarterly record 517mn cfd for Q3, with production rising further to average 570mn cfd. This came as the Israeli government called on both Karish and the Chevron-operated 22tcf Leviathan field to max output after Chevron’s second field Tamar was taken offline following Hamas’ 7 October assault on southern Israel.
Tamar, whose output averaged a near-record 1.03bn cfd for Q3, not far short of 1.1bn cfd capacity, only restarted production on 9 November after a month-long outage (MEES, 17 November). (CONTINUED - 1051 WORDS)
