Latest production figures show Oman’s Blocks 3&4 continuing to slide. Q3’s 28,280 b/d is down almost 17,000 b/d ( 37%) from the record quarterly figure of 45,000 b/d hit in Q4 2019 with the ongoing slide flying in the face of repeated optimistic assessments from 30% partner Tethys Oil of Sweden (MEES, 21 April). The operator is Athens-based CCED with 50%; Japan’s Mitsui has 20%.
