Thailand’s PTT, in its Q3 results on 27 October, says that its HBR project in Algeria’s Berkine Basin (PTT49%op, Sonatrach 51%) “successfully ramped up production from 13,000 b/d to 17,000 b/d since August 2023” for a 9M 2023 average of 14,000 b/d. The firm previously said the target was to hit full phase one output of 17,000 b/d by end-2023 (MEES, 26 May).
HBR Phase two would take output to 50,000-60,000 b/d by 2H 2027 “subject to regulatory approval and FID timing,” PTT repeats in its latest presentation, whilst notably excluding a comment made six months earlier that it hopes “to expedite the development and production of the next phase.” (CONTINUED - 193 WORDS)
