*Qatar made a nine-year high $132bn in export revenue for 2022 including a near-record $86.8bn from ‘Natural Gas, LPG & condensates’ (MEES, 10 February). Within this the largest element is LNG of which Qatar exported a record 80.2mn tons for 2022.
*Though Qatar took advantage of 2022’s key shift in global LNG trade, the surge in European demand, by increasing westbound shipments, its key customers remain in Asia. The continent provided all of Qatar’s top four buyers, and five of the top six, for 2022 (see chart 1). (CONTINUED - 689 WORDS)
