Korea, the world’s number three LNG importer after Japan and China, imported a bumper 5.14mn tons of LNG for February, the second highest figure on record after February 2021. Combined Jan-Feb volumes of 9.96mn tons are up 17% year-on-year for the highest ever figure for the first two months of the year.
