State power offtaker Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP) has awarded contracts for two 500MW solar plants at Manah. The awards for the Manah I & II projects follows approval from the Sultanate’s Authority for Public Services Regulation for OPWP to float the projects to international investors at the end of February (MEES, 3 March).
Development of the two projects will entail the installation of around 2.08mn solar panels over a 15mn m2 area in the Ad Dakhiliyah governate, 150km southwest of Muscat. (CONTINUED - 884 WORDS)
