The trend of Oman’s record-breaking LNG exports continues. After shipping an annual record 11.58mn tons for 2022 (MEES, 13 January), latest figures from data intelligence firm Kpler show that Oman LNG exports hit a record monthly high of 1.08mn tons in March, surpassing the previous record of 1.07mn tons set in December last year (see chart).
Oman LNG Exports Soar To New Record Highs
After achieving record exports for 2022, Oman is continuing to maximize its LNG export facilities with a monthly record 1.08mn tons exports for March. With debottlenecking work completed and new gas output due online by end-2023, Oman’s focus has turned to replacing expiring sales contracts.
