QatarEnergy has awarded the prized engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for the two 8mn t/y liquefaction trains for its North Field South (NFS) LNG expansion project. A joint venture of Technip Energies and Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) emerged as the winner of the $10bn contract covering the two trains as well as associated facilities for gas treatment, natural gas liquids recovery, and helium extraction and refining.
The NFS is the second phase of Qatar’s huge LNG expansion project which will take capacity from 77mn t/y currently to 126mn t/y by 2027-2028. (CONTINUED - 188 WORDS)
