Italy’s Saipem announced on 28 June that it has been awarded a sizeable project at Saudi Arabia’s offshore Marjan field through its Long-Term Agreement (LTA) with Saudi Aramco. “The scope of work involves the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of five platforms and associated subsea pipelines, flowlines, and cables in the Marjan field, offshore Saudi Arabia, featuring an entirely in-Kingdom fabrication scheme,” says Aramco.
Expansion of the 500,000 b/d Marjan field is a key component of Aramco’s program to increase crude oil production capacity from 12mn b/d to 13mn b/d by 2027. Aramco intends to increase Marjan’s capacity by 300,000 b/d by 2025. (CONTINUED - 106 WORDS)
