Oman has increased its 2030 Phase A green hydrogen target from 1-1.25mn t/y to 1-1.5mn t/y (MEES, 28 October 2022). The 2030 production target is expected to require the installation of 16-20GW of renewable power capacity and 8-15GW electrolyzer capacity.
The announcement came from Hydrom’s managing director Abdulaziz bin Said al-Shidhani during the Connecting Green Hydrogen Europe conference in Madrid earlier this month. Hydrom is the state-entity responsible for the Sultanate’s green hydrogen sector. (CONTINUED - 1019 WORDS)
