Situated in northern Oman, the port of Sohar is the centerpiece of the sultanate’s downstream industry and a modest regional bunkering and storage hub. Sitting just 90km south of the UAE’s better-known Fujairah hub, Sohar is accustomed to slipping under the radar, though traders typically view it as part of an extended trading complex alongside its larger neighbor.
