Kuwait has taken delivery of its second offshore drilling rig as it prepares for the next stage of its offshore exploration campaign. The Oriental Dragon jackup rig is currently moored south of Mina al-Ahmadi and will shortly join the Oriental Phoenix drilling offshore Kuwait.
The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) finally kicked off a long-delayed six-well offshore exploration program in late-2022 and is banking on its under-explored offshore to provide a key medium-term capacity boost. (CONTINUED - 940 WORDS)
