Oman’s new 230,000 b/d Duqm refinery shipped its first ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) cargo on 12 September, signaling that the refinery’s secondary units – namely the 74,000 b/d hydrocracker and 83,500 b/d diesel hydrodesulphurization unit – are starting operations.
The departure of the initial diesel cargo followed hot on the heels of the dispatch of a naphtha cargo the previous day. Along with a tanker of fuel oil on 1 September, this brings total September exports to a record 1.4mn barrels (see table). (CONTINUED - 697 WORDS)
