Sonatrach (51%) and partner TotalEnergies (49%) are advancing projects to bolster output at their Tin Fouyé Tabankort (TFT) wet gas field with the award to Algerian state firm Entreprise Nationale de Grands Travaux Pétroliers (ENGTP) of an 8bn dinar ($58mn) EPC contract for ‘TFT II’ development.
Total in July agreed to bankroll its share of TFT expansion after agreeing improved terms under Algeria’s 2019 oil law (MEES, 14 July). At the time Total and Sonatrach costed TFT II work at $332mn, implying that there will be (or have been) other EPC awards. (CONTINUED - 370 WORDS)
