US independent Kosmos Energy has lost an arbitration ruling against BP, its partner on the 2.4mn t/y Tortue FLNG project on the Mauritania/Senegal maritime border which is set to start up before end 2024 (MEES, 1 March).
Back in 2020, BP the majority (57%) partner signed up as sole offtaker, including for the output share of Kosmos (27%) and Mauritania and Senegal’s state firms, guaranteeing revenues that saw the project move to construction (MEES, 21 February 2020). (CONTINUED - 266 WORDS)
