Algeria is belatedly looking to join the list of potential suppliers of green hydrogen to Europe with state upstream giant Sonatrach and distribution counterpart Sonelgaz signing two MoUs at this week’s Napec conference in Oran.

The first relates to ‘SoutH2 Corridor’ plans which would see the five parallel Algeria-Tunisia-Italy TransMed gas pipelines totaling 33.5bcm/y transformed in whole or in part for hydrogen shipments to Italy, Germany and elsewhere in Europe. (CONTINUED - 281 WORDS)
