Israel’s NewMed Energy on 13 March announced that it and the JV of BP and UAE state firm Adnoc that had been in talks to take a 50% NewMed stake “have agreed, due to the uncertainty created by the external environment, to suspend discussions in relation to the proposed transaction.”
The “external environment” is of course a reference to the ongoing war and humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza as a result of Israel’s military action launched in response to Hamas’ 7 October assault on southern Israel. (CONTINUED - 1120 WORDS)
