The 1.18mn m³ Fujairah Oil Terminal (FOT) facility is poised to secure a key infrastructure boost that will enhance its ability to service clients. Commissioning of a $45mn project to connect FOT’s storage facilities to Fujairah’s VLCC berth via the Matrix Manifold 2 is underway and is scheduled to conclude in April, says a spokesperson for FOT’s key 40% stakeholder Prostar.
The work entails the addition of four 3km pipelines – two for crude oil, one for black products, and one for clean products – as well as associated pumping capacity. Crucially, it will also entail the connection of FOT’s facilities to the Adcop pipeline, which delivers Murban crude to Fujairah for export. Of FOT’s storage capacity, 830,000m³ is for crude and fuel oil, with 340,000m³ clean products. (CONTINUED - 411 WORDS)
